What should you consider in purchasing a drum set?
Your salesperson or instructor can help you consider all of your
needs based on your specific circumstances. The main thing is
to take your time and ask questions! Drum World's staff
is dedicated to taking the guesswork and frustration out of drum
shopping, helping you make the right choices for your budget and
needs. We'll also be there for you after your purchase,
with assistance and advice on maintenance, tuning, upgrades, or
anything else relating to your drums. Remember, where you
buy is just as important as what you buy! DON'T BUY CHEAP…BUY
SMART!
Our entry level kits have been carefully put together to provide
the best compromise between price and functionality. We don't
stock kits that our staff of professional drummers would not be
willing to play. Even if you bought a "bargain" kit
somewhere else come in and let us show you how some simple upgrades
will make it more fun to play. Remember that a kit that
is not put together properly or that needs constant adjustment
can make practice a chore and keep you from getting the full benefit
from your lessons. Play on a good set of drums, and have fun!
EDUCATION: Drums, Guitar and Bass
Lessons: Beginning to Advanced
Learn basic or advanced techniques. Supposedly rudiments are the
necessary basis for playing the drums. But for students who are
not so advanced, or just beginning, it is an absolute mystery
why they have to struggle with what they feel to be boring technical
exercises when all they really want to do is just play. But the
rudiments are not boring at all if you can apply the new figure
you've learned in its simple form directly to the drum set. With
practice, our excellent instructors can show you the way. For
guitar and bass, students learn the basic techniques and styles
including reading, chords, and scales. Blues, Rock, Classical
and Jazz, all Drum World teachers are professional musicians.
